I just finished this guy. He's painted on a nice chunk of wood.
He's bright and cheerful and perhaps his teeth are a bit scary.....but fear not. He's a good fish.

Nibblefest Awards

These are Nibblefest awards I have recieved. It really is fun. Last year I only entered a few. I'm going to try to do one every month this year. The next one starts on February 20th on EBAY and the theme is -Vintage Cats- I am almost done with mine. I will show you when it is complete :)

CELEBRATE - IF

Illustration Friday's theme is celebrate. I realized browsing through my art folders, lots of my art has celebrating animals or skulls.
This was probably the most recent. I did this little painting for this past December's Nibblefest Contest. The theme was chickens & my chick is definitely celebrating.
I think it's important to celebrate.......even the very small good things that happen every day :)

I painted this a few years ago and it has always made me think of the passing of time.
Both at -that moment- and over a span of years. Imagine how slow things would get for little chickadee while taking on the task of keeping the egg warm.
Also I think this reflects personal questions in my own brain about the tick tick of my biological clock.
